Profound Focusing on Customer Needs
Special Requirements
Potter is from the United States, and he inquired about a custom order for tree branch-patterned pants, along with questions about the fabric and pricing. Upon seeing his message, I promptly responded to Potter’s inquiry and began introducing our company’s basic information and advantages. I also informed him that we could customize and manufacture these pants.
During our communication, I learned that he wanted to order only 50 pieces, with the fabric being 100% cotton, and he requested 3D embroidery for the logo. The most crucial requirement was that the pants must feature a specific tree branch pattern.
For custom-made pants with unique fabric patterns and special logo techniques, our usual minimum order quantity is 100 pieces per style per color, which was a significant difference from what Potter needed. After discussions within our production team and considering that this was Potter’s first collaboration with Profound and the fact that he was establishing a new brand, our team decided to support him and grow together, aiming to establish a long-term and friendly cooperative relationship with Potter.
Carefully Selected Fabric
I didn’t provide Potter with a quote right away because I couldn’t find the specific fabric with the tree branch pattern that he needed. I explained to him that this fabric was challenging to source in the market and that I needed some time to find it. Potter accepted my explanation and expressed his understanding.
Due to the fabric’s uniqueness, I discussed a solution with our production department to use custom fabric with tree branch printing, followed by additional processing. After reaching a preliminary consensus with the production team, I sent the pricing details to Potter and explained the issue of over or underproduction: “We buy production fabric by rolls according to PI quantity. Each roll may have different weight differences, ranging from 23kgs to 28kgs; different types of fabrics will always have different meterages for one roll. The fabric supplier selects each roll of fabric randomly. As a result, the actual production quantity may vary due to differences in roll fabrics, clothing sizes, and defective products. The final production quantity could differ for smaller order quantities below 300 pieces per color per style.”
Potter was initially not satisfied with our quote and the potential over or underproduction issue. I explained, “Due to the specialized fabric for custom orders and the multiple steps involved in the production process, which includes custom fabric printing and the addition of a logo, the price we offered is already very favorable. This is the beginning of Profound Garment supporting your brand business.”
Because of the uniqueness of Potter’s product, we didn’t give up on his project. This was not only because Profound respects customer needs but also because we are committed to our product features: careful fabric selection, high-quality craftsmanship, and support for personalized bulk customization to meet the customer’s requirements.
Profound’s Collaborative Philosophy
After my explanations and Potter’s consideration, he accepted our quote and decided to collaborate with us. I immediately coordinated with the production department, prepared a production schedule, reviewed all the details with the customer, and finalized every aspect before commencing production.
Potter has strict product requirements, and we also focus on meeting customer needs and achieving tangible results. Our collaborative philosophy at Profound aligns with Potter’s approach to his products: “Sincerity creates quality products, and quality builds brands, spreading a positive reputation.”
